WISHLIST | New Flat!

As I mentioned in my 'What have I been up to?' post a few days back, I'm moving in with my boyfriend at the beginning of next month- so obviously I'm compiling lists of stuff to make our new place to avoid packing!

We're starting from scratch as we're both coming from furnished places, but we think we have all the 'big stuff' sorted (I will definitely be posting room 'make over's!), so I've started internet browsing for all the bits and bobs that will make it feel ours.

Me and the other half both work full time so don't have time for a dog at the moment, not that we could decide between a pug and a dachshund anyway! So to get some dog-love into the house, we're going to get these 1.'Anatomy of a Pug' Throw Pillow & 8.'Anatomy Of a Dachshund' Throw Pillow- although I think the dachshund one is cuter!

We're hopefully going to be building his and hers battlestations, so I thought this funky wee 2.Essey bin would go nicely. I also think this 4.Lightbulb Vase will go nice on my half to contrast whatever boyish rubbish that is bound to plague the other!

This 6.DIY Lego Key Holder seems easy enough to make, and the other half is a big lover of lego (and an absolute mess when it comes to knowing where his keys are!) so this will be getting made asap. I am trying to save up for driving lessons, hopefully a car and a holiday so I'm thinking of using this 10.Chalk Board Piggy Bank to save my £1 & £2 coins in for a wee while!

I think this 10.Companion Cube Rug would make a really cute welcome mat to the flat, and would hopefully keep our cream carpets cream- functional and pretty!

I like to have fairy lights everywhere, they're great for on a night when you just want a wee bit of light or for setting a relaxing mood, but I'm not sure how into this the other half is- so to warm him up to the idea I'm going to start with these 7.Scrabble Lights, maybe above our bed. This way I get my pretty lights, and he can write some form of inappropriate word/phrase and we can both be happy!

I think this 5.LED Word Clock is a little bit different, and will go brilliantly with our mostly monochrome theme. Plus I am terrible at telling the time so this will definitely help!

Last but not least, these 3.Winter/Summer Salt & Pepper Shakers are just cute. I have very little use for them at all, but why not eh!

I'm really excited to get into our own little place and make it ours, and even more excited for the inevitable trip to Ikea! Now to get packing~

REVIEW | Lilly Lolo Mineral Foundation

Being the pale beast I am, I'm always in search of the perfect foundation to match my pasty complexion.  I'd read really good things about Lilly Lolo's mineral foundation so figured I would give it a go.

I purchased the Mineral Starter Collection - Light in the hopes of finding something kind of similar to my shade- which is no easy task let me tell you. The set comes with 3 shades, a finishing powder and a baby kabuki brush.

Lilly Lolo Mineral Foundation is both vegan-friendly and contains SPF- Which is great because I literally never remember to apply it (oops!). The product is so easy to apply, and the little kabuki brush that comes with the kit is so soft and good quality.

The coverage on this foundation is a light to medium, and I tend to lean more towards a medium coverage due to my redness and scarring so generally have to build up the coverage. I really want to like this foundation because I hate the streakiness of liquid foundations- and for the most part I do. I can get enough coverage for a day-time look on a good skin day but if my skin even considers being a little bit dry then this foundation is of no use. It does not blend over dry skin and tends to look very 'talcum powder'y sat on top of my skin.

Lilly Loro Mineral Foundation comes in 18 different shades, and the mineral starter collections come in 3 different ranges (Light, Light-medium & Medium). The subltle differences between the shades within the light collection are brilliant because it means you can mix the perfect colour for your skin. 'China Doll' was my closest shade, but I needed a little bit more warmth so mixed it with 'Blondie' to create my perfect shade. Although this is fine whilst using the starter kit, It wouldn't be too handy when purchasing the full size items.

Overall, I think this is a great way to experiment with mineral foundations, but I probably won't be buying the full sized version due to the way it sits on my skin when it's having a dry day (which is more often than not!). I think if you lean more towards having 'normal' to oily skin then this would be brilliant for you. The shade range is brilliant, and being a pale human that's not something I say very often- But my journey for the perfect foundation still continues!

What Have I been up to?!

What have I been up to? Quite a bit actually!

First off, my class and I put on our wee grad show. It went pretty well I think, bar me maybe having one too many on the opening night, oops! but more importantly, we graduated! I am now the proud owner of a BA(HONS) in Photography and Film!

I went to Download Festival! My brother, boyfriend and I took my mum for her birthday, and it was the best weekend I've had in years, maybe ever. All the bands we're amazing, but KISS and Slipknot we're definitely highlights. I've been to a fair few festivals now, but my comrades were all festival virgins, I think they were all almost dead by the end of it. Will definitely be going again next year!

I went on many, many adventures with my so-called 'better half' (we both know I'm better). The zoo, Download, exploring England and the countryside. Forcing him into photographs at every opportunity of course.

And obviously, I ate and drank a tonne of yummy-goodness. I can't say I've had the healthiest last few months, but I've had a happy belly, that's for sure!

I've been on my 'little break' for about 4 months, and I think thats about enough time now. I've got lots of exciting things coming up soon- heading down south for a weekend away, the Edinburgh Fringe festival starts (I'm going to see Alan Davies!), moving in with the aforementioned other-half and then jetting off to Turkey with my Dad and siblings literally the next day- so while I plan to get back on the blogging-wagon, I can't say what 'Iamjayde' is going to be filled with content wise!

I hope everyone has had a lovely last few months, and has been enjoying the spurts of sunshine we've been having!
