REVIEW | Eylure Dybrow

Eylure Pro-Brow Dybrow Dye kit is an at home eyebrow dying kit. It claim's 'Eylure Dybrow is the ideal way to get this look for up to 6 weeks. A proven formula will darken lighter brows to ensure an even colour and beautifully defined brows.'- We'll see.

I have horrific eyebrows. I don't know what I did in a past life to deserve these brows, but it must have been bad. They're sparse and blonde, not to mention naturally-shapeless.

The kit comes with a tube of colour cream, activator, a mixing stick, a spoolie for application and a wee mixing well built into the packaging. The instructions are simple and easy to follow- the cream and activator take a while to mix together but overall it's a piece of cake. It does say not to get it on your skin, how you can do that whilst also trying to cover all your little brow hairs is beyond me, but it wipes straight off and leaves no marks even if you just smother it all over like I did.

I left the formula on for 5 minutes. The instructions say to leave it on for 1-2 minutes, unless you have red or grey hair or require more definition. I'm lusting after a no-brow routine so I left it on as long as allowed.

As you can see, I'm never gonna be Cara Delevingne, but I think this dye has given me a bit more definition. It managed to get all the little white hairs that usually just reflect and make me look all peach-fuzzy and turn them brown.

While I wont be throwing away my brow shadows and gels any time soon, now they're a little bit darker, I wont feel so self conscious heading to the shop on a top-knot-and-glasses kind of day! This is no miracle product by any means, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the salon for a similar treatment and has done pretty much the exact same job as the last (and first) time I went.

I think this product works better on the fairer hairs than the bulk of the brow hair, and it will definitely work better for you if you have lighter hair in general. I used the dark-brown kit but I think if I was going to re-purchase this product I would try the black one. The front of the kits says it should last up to 12 applications, so  I will probably be using this product for a while, just to use it up.

All in all, if you're looking for a light tint or a change of tone, then this is perfect for you but if, like me, you're looking for the holy grail of brow products- keep looking.
